Visiting Teaching

Thanks to Becky for passing this along, hopefully we can be more committed to the Sisters we visit teach. President Hinckley has said about visiting teaching,

"Visiting teaching is a serious responsibility, it really is. But it is not a heavy burden; it just takes a little more faith. It is worthy of our very best effort."

FREE downloads

It was a wonderful General Conference, wasn't it? I hope you were able to at least watch part of it! (it's hard with little ones ...well and sometimes big ones too!)

But I just wanted to share this link with you because who doesn't like FREE stuff!
It is LDSfamilyfun - it is by the company who does the Living Scriptures. If you go to the downloads section, you can download and print off ALL of the activity books that go with the Animated Stories series (Book of Mormon, New Testament, Old Testament...etc). A great resource for FHE or anytime. One book can be 50 pages though, just to warn you though. But if you download it and can use a coloring page for a lesson, just print that page and not all 50 pages!

It also has FHE helps and lots of good info!
It is not an official site of the Church though, just to put that disclaimer in...

The Friend

Wow, I can't believe what I stumbled upon! Please forgive me, for perhaps this is only exciting if you have little kids who read the Friend magazine. But - the Friend's homepage is totally interactive with online games (puzzles, hidden pictures and soon matching), online coloring book, stories, slide shows...etc. So, check it out, even if you don't have kids - the hidden pictures are pretty fun! (and maybe it's been like this for a while and I just haven't gotten on...but I thought I would share!)

LDS Why

HI there Sisters! I wanted to share a link with you today - I noticed while I was perusing my deseretbook catalog LDS WHY it is especially good to guide your teenages to this site!
It has "powerful answers and practical answers for Living LDS Standards"

WHY TEACH WHY
“Young people wonder 'why?
'Why are we commanded to do some things, and why are we commanded not to do other things?”
by Elder Boyd K. Packer, CES Symposium, August 1993
