Today's lesson was from the November issue of the Ensign, President Eyering's talk - Our Heart's Knit as One. Sister Leforney taught, and did a great job and it was her first time teaching!!! Woo-hoo!
We read, "We live in many different circumstances. We will come from every nation and many ethnic backgrounds into the kingdom of God. And that prophesied gathering will accelerate."
And then we went around the room and named or tried to name where our grandparents were from. It was interesting to hear the different places our ancestors were from.
"We see increased conflict between peoples in the world around us. Those divisions and differences could infect us. That is why my message of hope today is that a great day of unity is coming. The Lord Jehovah will return to live with those who have become His people and will find them united, of one heart, unified with Him and with our Heavenly Father"
And we discussed different things that we do in our families to stay united. I mentioned that we try to have family home evening. Sister Price added that with her crowd at her house, they try to watch a movie together often. Sister Wright's family gets together about once a month and have a game night.
I would give more details but, I had to leave for primary! If you would like to share what else you discussed today, please LEAVE A COMMENT so we can share with our sisters who serve in the Primary and Young Women Organization. This blog is for everyone to share comments, ideas, upcoming events and just all around good things that uplift us!
p.s. if anyone has extra furniture or is getting rid of any used furniture, please let the RS presidency know as there is a need for any furniture for one of the sisters

Come What May...and Love it!
"Come what may and love it." That is the new theme for our Relief Society this year. It is taken from Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin's talk from October 2008 General Conference.
A "reader's digest" version of the message is - The way we react to adversity can be a major factor in how happy and successful we can be in life. But we challenge you to read it in full. It is a wonderful talk!
